Atlanta Traffic

Driving in downtown Atlanta during peak hour is exasperating. I dislike the one way roads because if I miss one turn that means I’ve to drive few more blocks before I can turn around. Total madness. During those moments I just have to remember driving in New York to instantly appreciate Atlanta roads and drivers. If you can survive driving in New York and Florida, driving in other cities is a breeze. It didn’t feel so this evening in downtown Atlanta though.
Anyway, as usual I was late meeting a friend for dinner. In my defense, it really was the Atlanta traffic this time. For once, I headed for the restaurant well ahead of time. I realized it’s not fun being kept waiting when my appointments were late last week twice. I may have upset someone. Oh well, such is life.
Disasters in China and Burma is heart breaking. I can’t bear to read/watch those news any more. It maybe selfish but all the deaths and destruction are starting to give me nightmares. I can’t begin to imagine the affect it’s having on the survivors and the victims’ families.
I’m spooked again. Looks like I’ll end up spending the night on the couch downstairs tonight. Maybe, I should get a dog….or, maybe this inspirational video will ease my mind.
